Why Fireworks is better than Photoshop?

Once and for all, I want to state the reason why Fireworks is better than Photoshop?

I have searched across the net, entering the keywords Fireworks vs Photoshop. What i found out is that a lot of people are also stating that Fireworks is easier & more productive to use for doing graphic work. You can do things in Fireworks with much less work than in Photoshop.

Even many photoshop users who have tried fireworks say that its easier & making their graphic design life easier.

Some say that Fireworks is only for the web. Well, i don't think so. I use fireworks to do print stuff. I would use Fireworks first then use illustrator to produce the print output(convert to CMYK etc).

Try it for yourself, do a search Fireworks vs Photoshop in google, you too will discover that fireworks is better.

Hopefully, Adobe does not phase out Fireworks. We just love fireworks. Its frustrating to work with photoshop.

If Adobe is smart, they will continue to work hard to greatly improve fireworks & add value to the product. I did not see fireworks listed on the Adobe website? Its like hidden in a drop down box. Hmmm? why is that. If they had bought macromedia, just to throw fireworks aside, and satisfy their corporate ego, i don't know what to say?

Look at the image below of Adobe's website. They are just not doing Fireworks any good. Common we love adobe fireworks. Fireworks is your own(Adobe) product, why not give it some love Adobe bro?

If for what ever reason Adobe wishes to terminate Fireworks. Please don't, the product would be better off, being sold to another company, willing to greatly improve the product. Even if its to be sold to Microsoft, so be it. At least it will live on.

F1 Singapore Grandprix and Singtel sponsors

The F1 Singapore Grandprix is mainly sponsored by Singtel.

If you know of any other smaller sponsors or companies involved with the Formula 1 Singapore race, post them up in the comments.

Wonder if there are any hotels sponsoring the event too? Its sure is a lucrative sponsorship. Many expats & travellers will be coming to Singapore. And this will benefit the Singaporean economy a lot. So many business opportunities will come up too.

The official F1 Date is on September 28 and there will be an estimated 90,000 spectators.

Its the first formula 1 night race in F1 formula 1 history. The cars will race through 61 laps around the anti-clockwise circuit with 14 left turns and 10 right turns, will pass six slowest corners in each lap, during which the racers are estimated to drive between 80 to 100 kph.
Here, I can think of business opportunities of producing games or graphic decorations relating to the Night race theme. For example, an F1 calendar with night themes. This will be a historical piece of merchandise/souveneir.

The track offers three turns where the drivers will get overtaking opportunities. The maximum speed a driver can zoom across the circuit will be in excess of 300 kph. The surface of the track will be laid with polymer modified binder and will offer vehicles 20% more grip.

State-of-the-art lighting system along the circuit will deliver optimal visibility for the night race conditions, which will be four times brighter than a sports stadium.

Ok so what does this F1 Singapore Night Race look like? Here we go:

Yes, its happening right here, in all the places I & my friends hang out. You know around Suntec, esplanade, raffles etc.

Some games you can play to get the feel of the F1 Singapore:

Contests held relating to F1 Singapore:
  • Singtel grid girls - A beauty & talent contest to find the F1 Grid Girls who will flag & start off the race.
  • The Singtel Prediction Challenge - you pick the winners in the 2008 Formula One™ season. Before each Grand Prix, you have the chance to predict who will be the eight fastest drivers.Play now and WIN fantastic prizes!

Sponsor Websites:
  • Singtel Race - singtelrace.com is the official sponsor website

There will be three other support races, namely the Aston Martin Asia Cup, the formula BMW Pacific and the Porche Carrera Cup Asia. Anyone covering these events, can provide us with info or links on the comments too.

Its an exciting month.

Samsung X360 Laptop

Samsung has made laptops for pretty much every market except the US, and generally (the Q1 Ultra UMPC is as close as they've gotten here).

The just-announced Samsung X360. This 13-incher apes the super-slim look and feel of the MacBook Air, but adds a lot of the ports and connections missing from Apple's system. The X360 has a multi-card reader, three USB ports, an ExpressCard/34 slot, Ethernet jack, and HDMI and VGA outputs. And it still manages to keep the weight down to 2.8 pounds (if you get an SSD hard drive), and is between .66 and 1.2-inches thick.

The online rumor mill points to an October release in the $2,000-plus range, but that likely doesn't include the American market.

iPhone 3G launch at Singtel Comcentre, Singapore

First an iPhone price cut left early buyers feeling foolish, and then came reports that some iPods were spitting sparks. Now the new iPhone 3G has been marred by bugs, spotty service, disappearing programs for the device and a veil of secrecy over software developers trying to broaden its appeal. Such a string of mishaps and missteps might throw another electronics company into crisis. But of course, Apple Inc. isn't just another electronics company.

Even as iPhone griping rages online, it looks like Apple's sterling reputation will emerge untarnished. "The objective reality is that Apple does plenty of wrong," said Peter Fader, a marketing professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. However, Fader said, the company's loyal fans, and even casual users, have come to identify so strongly with Apple's high-end, individualistic vibe that they're willing to look the other way. "Very few companies have this kind of iconic status where anything they do, even if it is mediocre, will automatically have a halo around it," he said.

Kern Bruce, a 25-year-old Web designer in Boston, waited in line for 13 hours to buy an original iPhone. He sold it to upgrade to a 3G. "There was no going back at that point, but after I sold it, I quickly started to regret it," he said. Bruce's complaints echo countless Web forum posts: The device gets uncomfortably warm. Programs crash. And it so seldom connects to AT&T's speedier third-generation, or 3G, data network that Bruce carries the iPhone around with 3G turned off

Here in Singapore, Singtel is going to launch the iPhone.

Industry sources said Apple's iPhone will be launched in Singapore by SingTel this September, but the telco has neither confirmed nor denied this.

So on 22 Aug, 2008...

At exactly 12am, after some pyrotechnics and some fanfare, they started selling the iPhones to the customers in line. We thought we could be getting the iPhone very soon, but we still had to wait for about an hour before actually getting into the store. When we were in the store, we waited for about half an hour before we were served by the staff. The process of setting up the phone was pretty swift, and we were already ready to pay in less than 15 minutes.

It is estimated that gadget fans here have gotten about 10,000 iPhones through different avenues, with some paying over S$1,000 to be the first in Singapore to own the device.

Any ideas on how to explain your designs?

Have you ever had that feeling of How to better explain your design to your clients, so they make less changes or so they prefer your design & not whatever funny ideas they have in their heads.

Well anybody have any tips on How to better explain your design to your clients?
Post them here in my comments area.

One idea i'm looking into is the use of NLP to explain our designs so they can be more readily accepted & less changes made. So any NLP experts here can help with some scripts that would be great.

Singapore Slingers Basketball Team in the Australian League

Hi all,

Since we all like to keep fit & enjoy sports, lets blog about some sports entertainment. Sit back relax & watch live professional sporting action here in Singapore. I'm talkin about Basketball. Ever since i was a kid living in Australia, i enjoyed watching basketball.

I used to follow the Perth Wildcats during the 90s. They won many championships. Now I'm back in Singapore. I was so surprised to discover that recently, Singapore has a team playing in the Australian Basketball league (NBL). Our singapore team is called the

Singapore Slingers. Cool name huh.

I can't wait for the season to start in September 2008.

Last season, the Slingers did not perform that well, despite having the Most Valuable Player in the league.

Ok for those who's wondering, where are these Slingers playing. Well, its in our very own Singapore Indoor Stadium, a world class stadium. Its not an NBA stadium, but yeah its comfy. Take a look inside. This season, they are expecting 4000 or more people to watch each home game. So its gonna get loud in here.

Besides from the adrenalin basketball action, you can also watch cheerleaders perform dance routines, everytime there is a time out on court. Its hard work being a preety cheerleader too. You need to pump up the crowd.

As seen in this picture. The Slinger girl is so beautiful. She has to go out run around & dance & smile & make the crowd feel energetic & support the home team:)

Wonder what her FITNESS routine is like? She must take lots of supplements & skin care product to stay in tip top very slim shape everytime she goes out to court to cheer. Must maintain that slim shape to stay long in the cheer leader industry.

And girls, don't u just love to wear what she's wearing. Its so sporty & sexy & bright & colorful...

Ok guys, not enough cheer leaders? Well keep drooling some more:

Just like the guys will change their team outfit for away & home games. Different out fit this time for the girls. Short shorts. Oh my.

Wonder if any of the players dated any of the cheer leaders? Any gossips?:)

Who wants to watch the Singapore Slingers with our group of Fit Slinger Supporters email me at arielmusicnet@gmail.com

How To Quit Your Job And Go Full-Time In Your Business...?

What suggestions do you have for someone (myself) who is working his brains out making a really good salary in my corporate job, but wants to go full time in networking?

I want to get more involved and I make time nearly every day to read and get smarter about the process. My current job takes up way more than 40 hours per week and we have a better income than at any other time in my life.

How do I maintain the integrity of my current commitment and still transition to my networking business? If you suggest I quit right now and focus all the same energy from my job into networking, I suppose that would be an answer. - Kevin S."

------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the question Kevin. I'm glad to see that you're in a position to even consider this topic... Congrats!

Here's the quick rule-of-thumb answer...

Never quit your JOB and go full time into your home business until you've exceeded your JOB income for at least three consecutive months.

That's the quick answer.

As we get into a deeper answer to your question, let's assume that you follow that rule. Your next concern is the amount of free time you have available to dedicate to your business.

Well in reality, time is RARELY an issue. It's simply a matter of working smarter and more efficiently, instead of longer.

The first thing we need to do is prioritize our activities so that we're only spending time on those which directly effect bottom line production.

And there are a lot of activities that go into building a network marketing business!
Writing ads

Placing ads

Creating capture pages

Calling leads

Interviewing leads

Contact management

Scheduling follow ups

3-way calls with downline

Mailing information

Making follow up calls

Processing new orders and applications

New distributor training and orientation

Now here's where I want to flip the switch upstairs for you today...

Look through all of the activities above and ask yourself the following question:

"What makes me money?"

The answer?

In the end, it's only one thing:

Processing completed customer orders and distributor applications.

That's the only activity that makes you money, so it's the one activity that should dominate your business building time.

If you only had two hours per day to build a business, how much money would you be making if you spent all two hours processing new applications and taking orders?

Probably enough to go full time right!?

This is where you say, "Ya but that's impossible Mike..."

Actually far from it. That's all I do and here's the process needed to make it happen...
Now in order to process orders consistently and at a relatively high rate each day,
3 things must take place:

1: You must build a pipeline of prospects whom you consistently contact over time, not personally, but through marketing which allows you to leverage your efforts.

2: You must build a relationship with those prospects, not personally, but through technology such as an auto-responder and video.

3: You must effectively market your goods and services to those prospects, and then sales are made and income is produced.

Now here's the deal...

All three of these activities can, and must, be achieved on autopilot if you want your production to sky rocket.

And that's the secret between full-time networkers who make the big bucks, and those who bust their rears all day long for years, barely turning a profit.

Part-timers continually buy leads or place ads to generate new prospects, but rarely put them into a long-term "pipeline."

Part-timers attempt to build relationships with their leads by talking to them on the phone numerous times.

I constantly see networkers contact a lead 3 to 5 times, spending 1 to 5 hours time trying to get a single prospect into the business.

Part-timers spend major bucks and most of their limited time buying, and then mailing expensive prospecting tools to their prospects.

The lesson to be learned here is that they are building their business without leverage.

They are spending too much of their time doing activities that DO NOT directly produce income.

The rich networker puts together a lead generation campaign on Google Adwords that automatically generates 10-20 news leads per day for him.

The rich networker leverages tools and technology like personally written autoresponders to build a relationship with his 1,000's of prospects automatically.

He knows that a relationship and trust can be built without personal phone calls.

The rich networker has an assistant or fulfillment center distribute business building tools to his prospects automatically so he's isn't stuck addressing envelopes every night at his kitchen table.

The rich networker only does three things that require his personal time:

1: He contacts the prospects who have called or emailed him after reviewing his marketing materials.

2: He processes their application or product order.

3: He talks to and builds relationships with other rich networkers and proven producers, not beginners.

So I hope that you understand that going full-time in a home business is not about how much time you have available, but how you're spending that time.

This entire process is what's taught inside the pages "Traffic Formula", and in such detail that you're head won't stop spinning for days.

Traffic Formula is not about prospecting, sponsoring, follow-up calls, scripts, or even downlines.

It's about one thing: Building an EMPIRE.
